The specialization is a response to the growing demand for specialists who will be able to provide professional psychological help and support to children and adolescents.
Because of the rates of depression and other psychological disorders among young people, the services of qualified developmental psychologists are in a growing demand.
After completing the specialization - Psychology of children and adolescents, you will have practical skills related to boosting educational potential of children, helping children with special educational needs, dealing with psychological disorders among young people, counselling teachers, parents and other stakeholders involved in education. As a graduate you will be able to find employment in a variety of institutions, such as kindergartens, schools, care institutions, psychological counselling centres, courts or, hospitals.
The study program covers a broad array of subjects whose aim is to equip you with the deep understanding of psychological processes and corresponding skills to be used in your professional life as a developmental and educational psychologist.
The first year of studies covers a broad array of subjects that provide you with solid and versatile knowledge of core psychological concepts, theories and methods as well as essential psychological skills. From the second semester onwards, classes introduce more and more detailed content specific to the selected field of study.

By choosing to study at UEHS, you can be sure that the tuition fee will not change throughout the duration of your studies. You can pay the tuition fee once for the entire year of study or spread over a semester payment. This allows you to decide how you want to plan your expenses.
As part of the UEHS discount programme, you can take advantage of various reductions and promotions. They are usually applied in the first year of study. It means that your tuition fees will be reduced by the amount of the discounts granted. Candidates who register and pay their tuition fees within one month of registration will receive an English language course for free. The course covers 80 hours of English classes and 20 hours of classes of Polish culture.

You can submit most scholarship applications quickly and easily through your online account.
In the academic year 2020/2021, the University of Economics and Humanities in Warsaw awarded 292 Rector’s Scholarships, ranging from PLN 450 /month to PLN 650 /month, depending on the average or achievements. For outstanding sport, artistic or scientific achievements, the Scholarship Committee awarded scholarships of PLN 450 /month.

A sports scholarship may be awarded to a student who excels in sport achievements at least national level. In addition we also encourage our students to take part in additional support programs- eg. the National Academic Representation.
Young sportsmen can count on financial support in the amount of PLN 450 /month.

A social scholarship may be awarded to a student who is in a difficult financial situation. In the academic year 2020/2021, the amount of income per person in the student’s family entitling to receive a scholarship was set at an amount not higher than PLN 1,051.70.
Depending on the monthly net income, scholarships ranging from PLN 1,050 / month to PLN 1,250 /month were awarded per one student’s family member.

A scholarship for people with disabilities may be awarded to a student who has a disability certificate, a disability degree certificate, a ZUS certifying physician’s certificate, a disability group certificate or a certificate of permanent or long-term incapacity to work on a farm.
In the 2020/2021 academic year, depending on the degree of disability, 79 scholarships for people with disabilities were awarded, ranging from PLN 800 /month to PLN 1000 /month.

The allowance is a form of emergency financial assistance. Any student who found himself temporarily in a difficult life situation resulting from random events beyond the student’s control can apply for it.
The allowance may be granted twice in one academic year, and the allowance is not granted twice for the same random event. Difficult life situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are an exception.
In 2020, we granted 64 allowances for a total of PLN 113,200.50. The allowances, depending on the student’s situation, were paid in the amount of PLN 1,000 to PLN 2,500 at a time.
