In April 2026, our university hosted students from the Stanis\u0142aw Lem High School in Stanis\u0142aw\u00f3w Pierwszy, along with a youth delegation from Bernardus College in Oudenaarde, Belgium. The meeting was organized as part of a school exchange program. The participants traveled to Warsaw to share their experiences and insights regarding the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n
The delegations were officially welcomed by Dr. Giuseppe Leonardi<\/strong>, Dean of the School of Human Sciences. Following the welcome, the Welcome Team presented the university\u2019s educational offerings and guided the guests through the Vizja Park and the Babka Tower campuses.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A key part of the visit featured specialized workshops led by Marta Okraska<\/strong> from the School of Humanities & Fine Arts. During these sessions, students had the opportunity to develop their own projects based on specific ecological and sustainability principles. The practical segment of the workshops involved creating jewelry and accessories from recycled materials. Using repurposed resources allowed the participants to directly test and implement solutions that support environmental protection.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This project enabled Polish and Belgian youth to collaborate on vital social and environmental issues. Beyond the academic focus on UNESCO SDGs, the participants engaged in cross-cultural dialogue, breaking barriers and building relationships based on mutual respect and civic values.
