Anna Saczuk

She graduated from the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business with a double master’s degree in brand management and international trade. Additionally, she has acquired knowledge in business psychology (postgraduate studies in “Psychology in Company and Social Life” at SWPS University) and has completed numerous courses in management, marketing, negotiation, NLP, and dealing with crises. Her career path exemplifies impressive success in the world of consulting and IT. She has been working at BPX since 2008. She started her career as an SAP TR consultant, holding the position of Consulting Director since 2010. From 2010 to 2013, she held the position of company proxy, then President and Vice President of the Management Board. Her professional background includes more than a dozen national and international projects, mainly as a lead consultant/team leader.

During her professional career, she has been involved in cross-cultural projects in South Africa, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Germany, France, Canada, USA, Brazil, India and other countries, as well as in domestic projects, including the Azoty Group. Her involvement in cross-cultural projects in different parts of the world highlights her skills in international collaboration.

As the only female board member of BPX, she plays a key role in fostering sustainable diversity, promoting female role models in business and technology, and inclusion within the company. She actively supports increasing women’s participation in the workforce, aiming to close the pay gap. She is also known for her passion for mentoring and supporting young talents in the IT industry.

Maciej Gieracha

He has been associated to IT/SAP corporate multi-cultural environment for 20 years. He specializes in project, process, and team management. He has completed over 35 various IT projects, complex global ERP systems solutions, S4Hana, FIORI, IDM implementations, roll-outs, upgrades, process consolidation, SSC-BPO. Recently he has been focusing on S4H, IT Security, IT Portfolio Management, as well IT Performance Indicators helping companies to identify and deliver true value.

He is a cross-functional team leader with strong management and technical skills, well prepared for effective team building, engaging people towards various commitments in a sustainable way.

He is a result-oriented and credible partner with a pragmatic and enthusiastic approach to life. He is continuously willing to learn increasing responsibilities and looking for larger, more complex projects and cultural diversity.

Description of the workshop

On 9 January 2024 Ms. Anna Saczuk and Mr. Maciej Gieracha conducted an interactive workshop for IT students. It involved the following aspects:

1. IT services market in Poland and Europe – short description of the market and trends:
a. Why is this market so attractive to young people?  – interactive query and results;
b. Is there one desirable competence/profile model? – awareness of needs.
Discussion: Can we predict which skills will continue to be highly attractive?

2. How to become a SAP consultant and what does such a job involve on a daily basis? – basic intro into SAP, where do SAP consultants come from, how to get SAP knowledge, and typical SAP consultant day today and in the past.

Just like at previous workshops, the students most enjoyed the practical dimension of the activities and the opportunity to ask questions.
