On May 14, Ms Jadwiga Ford conducted a workshop for psychology and management students, who had the opportunity to delve into the topic of the psychology of advertising and the techniques used in creating content to influence the addressees. The students learnt what drivers consumers when making decisions. Ms Ford gave the students the ins and outs of the strategies used in creating advertisements that influence consumer awareness.
On May 29, Dr Joanna Kozaczyńska led an inspiring workshop for students interested in personal development and building self-awareness. The aim of the event was to stimulate curiosity and interest in identifying students’ natural talents – the way they act, feel and think. Dr Kozaczyńska introduced the participants to the strengths-based approach to development and explained what Gallup’s talents are all about.
On the same day, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr Anna Llanos-Antczak, and the Chairman of the International Academic and Business Council, Dr Adam Świątek, presented Dr Joanna Kozaczyńska with a certificate of appointment as a Council member.
On May 28, a lecture by Mr Rob Jagtenberg was held as part of the International Classroom. Mr Jagtenberg, a senior lead electrical engineer at Royal HaskoningDHV, introduced the students representing various majors to the ins and outs of the Internet, while presenting its history and outlining its future in the fact of the rapid development of artificial intelligence.
During the 2023/2024 academic year, the representatives of the International Cooperation Office organised eight workshops as part of the International Academic and Business Council, attended by around one hundred students. Satisfaction surveys conducted after each of them showed that such events, due to their practical nature, are highly desired by the UEHS students.
