Why choose this programme?

The bachelor’s degree in Art Education, with a study path in Vocal Studies – Musical Theatre Singing at VIZJA University, is aimed at individuals who wish to develop both their passion and practical skills in musical theatre performance, while also gaining professional pedagogical training to support and inspire future stage artists. The programme is designed for candidates with prior musical and stage experience, as well as for those beginning their journey in musical theatre who demonstrate suitable vocal, musical and interpretative potential.

This study path is ideal for those who want to pursue a dual development path—as stage performers and as teachers of musical theatre singing—under the guidance of experienced lecturers, stage artists and vocal specialists.

Throughout the programme, students acquire solid theoretical foundations in musical theatre history and aesthetics, arts education, and genre-specific vocal techniques. At the same time, strong emphasis is placed on hands-on learning: voice training, musical theatre repertoire interpretation, microphone work, stage movement and musical acting classes allow students to develop versatile performance skills.

If you are fascinated by the magic of musical theatre and see yourself as a performer—but also value the opportunity to share knowledge, inspire others and support their artistic growth—this programme is exactly what you’re looking for.

What can you do after graduation?

By combining practical training in musical theatre singing with pedagogical preparation, graduates of this programme are well equipped to operate flexibly within the dynamic world of performing arts and arts education. Completing this study path opens up professional opportunities in areas such as:

  • Stage performance – as soloists or cast members in musicals, participants in stage productions and concert performances, as well as television productions and various artistic events;
  • Vocal pedagogy – as teachers of musical theatre singing and vocal technique, offering individual or group classes in art schools, cultural centres or through private practice;
  • Cultural education, creative industries and artistic initiatives – as leaders of vocal workshops and educational-artistic projects, creators of programmes promoting music and stage arts, or even founders of original vocal schools.
