Three extension modules are offered as part of the program: Translation, Business and Tourism, and Language Education. Choosing a module will allow you to focus the language skills you acquire for future professional work in the wider language services market or in the tourism industry.

Italian Studies – what can you do after these studies?

After graduating with a degree in Italian from the VIZJA University, you will have a wide range of career options open to you, including employment as a:

  • translator in multinational corporations, translation agencies, or government institutions;
  • Italian language teacher, flexibly adapting the form and content of classes to the needs of students, that is (children, adolescents, or adults);
  • language and communication specialist in companies, publishing houses, or cultural institutions;
  • language and cultural expert in the tourism industry, i.e., as a guide, tour guide, travel agency representative, for example;

SECOND
YEAR OF STUDY:

During the third semester, students continue with their specialization courses, which are designed to enable them to master a foreign language as quickly as possible. In the fourth semester, the student chooses one of three extension modules: Translation, Business and Tourism, and Language Education.

Third semester

Students choose a total of 2 electives from a pool of 4 in the third semester. The list includes the following: Entrepreneurship; Project management; Language acquisition; Psycholinguistics.

THIRD
YEAR OF STUDY:

The third year continues with courses specific to the three extension modules. From the fifth semester on, students begin an internship and the preparation of their own social project, which replaces the obligation to prepare a written bachelor’s thesis at VIZJA University.
