Why are these studies worth choosing?

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at VIZJA University is an excellent choice for individuals who want to help others on a daily basis, working in a dynamic environment and facing constantly evolving challenges. This is a profession where routine is rare, but the sense of agency and the incomparable satisfaction of saving lives and health are common. Moreover, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) allows you to combine a sense of mission and passion with personal development—enabling you to continuously expand your medical knowledge, maintain physical fitness, build psychological resilience, and strengthen teamwork skills. It is also one of the most essential and socially valued medical professions, with professionals in high demand both in Poland and abroad.

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) programme at VIZJAUniversity is compliant with the Polish Qualifications Framework and fully aligned with the requirements of the Act on State Emergency Medical Services. The programme has a practical profile, which places particular emphasis on developing core competences and gaining field experience through numerous workshops, emergency simulations, and internships in real-life settings and renowned medical institutions. Completing this degree not only opens the path to professional practice, but also allows for further specialised education at the Master’s level and eligibility to take the National Examination in Emergency Medical Services (PERM).

What can you do after graduation?

After obtaining your diploma, you can work as a paramedic in units of the State Emergency Medical Services (PRM) system, such as hospital emergency departments and medical rescue teams (including air ambulance units). You may also find employment in trauma centres, hospital wards cooperating with PRM, and various other rescue and emergency services. You can choose to work full-time or operate as a private contractor—offering, for instance, first aid training for different social and professional groups. As a graduate of the first-cycle Emergency Medical Services (EMS) programme, you will also be eligible to continue your education at the Master’s level. Remember that practising paramedics are required to engage in lifelong continuing professional development, as set out in the Regulation of the Minister of Health on the continuing education of paramedics.

This programme is for you if:

You feel a calling to pursue a profession that saves lives;

You enjoy task-oriented and team-based work;

You thrive in situations that require quick decision-making and staying calm under pressure.
