Second-cycle (Master’s) studies in the Vocal Studies – Musical Theatre Singing study path, offered within the Art Education programme at VIZJA University, are intended for individuals who want to refine their vocal skills in the musical theatre style while gaining advanced didactic preparation for teaching singing.
The programme is designed for graduates of at least first-cycle studies in music, acting, or related fields who wish to continue their artistic and pedagogical development. It is also open to graduates of other disciplines, provided they demonstrate appropriate vocal and stage movement preparation, as well as aptitude for pedagogical work in this area.
The curriculum focuses on developing vocal technique in the musical theatre style, including voice emission methods, microphone technique, text and song interpretation, as well as integration with stage movement and elements of acting. Particular emphasis is placed on combining artistic competencies with the ability to teach – students explore methods of teaching musical theatre singing in a professional, creative, and age-appropriate way for different levels of advancement.
If you want to develop your artistic expression and confidence on stage – and at the same time gain the skills needed to teach singing professionally – this programme is for you.
Graduates of this programme at VIZJA University are prepared to operate actively and consciously within the broad field of performing arts and music education.
Thanks to the combination of advanced vocal training and in-depth pedagogical knowledge, they can successfully pursue careers as performers – musical theatre soloists, members of music and theatre ensembles, participants in various artistic and media projects – as well as build professional paths as singing teachers, voice emission instructors, founders of vocal groups, authors of educational and artistic projects, or cultural animators.
Completing the master’s programme also opens the possibility of further academic development through doctoral studies in musical arts or art education.
