Information in the era of information society development is worth its weight in gold. Therefore, by choosing this field, you will learn to use information to your advantage. As part of the Social Communication and PR specialty, you will learn advanced methods and techniques for managing information and presenting it optimally. Among other things, you will learn behind-the-scenes principles of effective election marketing, persuasion and manipulation techniques used in the media, and methods of using events and happenings in the work of a PR specialist.

We created Social Communication and PR program for all those who want to gain real-world professional skills during their studies. Strictly theoretical knowledge is reduced to what is necessary. We bring to the forefront everything that will enable you to take up your dream profession after graduation. Students with degrees in other fields can consider this program as their career plan.

What can you do after graduation?

After studying in our field of study, you can find employment in advertising and PR agencies, press agencies, marketing departments of companies, or start your own business as a freelancer in new media.

The education model is focused on the courses concerning social communication, PR, and new media. The curriculum includes in-depth and theoretically grounded knowledge of social media channel management, information visualization techniques, principles of conducting and promoting business in new media, media information sources, or image creation techniques. Through a well-thought-out program of study, you will gain practical skills that will open up many avenues for your personal and professional development.

First year of studies

The first year of study includes courses common to both specialization path (Social communication and PR and New Media). The aim of the courses is to provide in-depth, theoretically supported knowledge of journalism and communication.

In the first and second semester of study, the student can choose three courses, one from each of the following groups:

  • Universal History or Culture and Ethics;
  • Information security or Violence and the media;
  • Team communication or Management skills

The number of registered students determines whether a course will be launched.

Second year of studies

Starting from the second year, dedicated courses for the Social Communication and PR specialty module begin, with the aim of steering you towards the career path of a PR specialist. With the beginning of the third semester of study, students begin their professional internship and a thesis seminar.

In the fourth semester of study, the student can choose one course from the following group: Interpersonal communication or Assertiveness training.

The number of registered students determines whether a course will be launched.

The content of the study program may change as a result of efforts to improve the quality of education and adapt the teaching offer to the current challenges of the labor market. Each change is approved by the University Senate and introduced with the aim of preparing students for their future careers in the best possible way.
