Note: important information for 2025 candidates
As of July 1, if you are planning to study in Poland and your citizenship requires obtaining a visa it is necessary to go through the Recognition procedure carried out by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) for any of your educational documents (high school diploma if you’re a candidate for Bachelor studies or a Bachelor diploma for Master studies candidates). The whole process is done online through the Syrena system.
The documents that don’t require nostrification are the ones recognized by law on the basis of international agreements, e.g. documents obtained in EU, EEA, OECD countries and Ukraine. You can easily check whether your document requires recognition in Kwalifikator.
NOTE: According to the information provided on the NAWA website, it may take up to 60 days for NAWA to process your documents. Therefore, you should submit your application as soon as possible.
Useful liks:
Starting from the 1st of July every international student must be included in the POL-on register. All Polish consulates check this database when processing visa applications. This means that being listed in the register is an essential condition for a visa to be issued. Candidates are added into the register once they receive their acceptance letter from the university.
Starting from the 1st of August, every candidate who holds a non-EU diploma must prove knowledge of the language of instruction at a minimum B2 level to study at any university in Poland. Please note that universities in Poland are no longer allowed to conduct internal language exams – which means that only officially recognized certificates are accepted (you can find a list of all recognized certificates on page three of the document published by the Ministry: akty prawne do ISAP-u-X kad). VIZJA University has established cooperation with two trusted providers: Pearson and Cambridge and we can organize their certificate exams. If you’re not on B2 level yet we encourage you to take part in our language courses.
The general knowledge entry exams for candidates for bachelor’s or long-cycle programmes are obligatory starting from the 1st of July. They concern all candidates who do not hold a diploma from an EU country. The exam itself is organized fully online, through our Extranet platform.

6 Q&A
When is the application deadline?
It is end of September for the October intake and end of February for the March intake.
Is it possible to start my Master’s studies from spring semester?
Yes, you can apply for March intake for each course and level.
Is foundation program still offered?
No, we now offer only a 9-month language course (English or Polish). At the end, upon successful passing of the B2-level exam, participants receive the certificate of completion which allows to study at our university. You can find more information here: https://vizja.pl/en/oferta/?kierunek=language-courses
If the process and documents were completed/submitted before the change of law, do we need to repeat it with the new restrictions?
It depends on whether you received the acceptance letter before the change of the law or later.
If you passed our internal English exam, we will be giving a confirmation letter which refers to the Higher Education Ministry information that all candidates who passed university exam before 1st of August can be accepted for studies.
If you provided us with an English proficiency certificate that is no longer accepted, we will be giving the above-mentioned letter. However, in this case consulates will probably refer to the date of submitting visa application documents – if it was done before 1st of August, they will recognize other certificates; if after 1st of August, the certificates may not be accepted.
As for the entry exams – the consulates will be referring to the date of submitting the visa application documents – if it was done before 1st of July, they will accept documents without entry exams; if after 1st of July, they will not accept.
Can I transfer from a study program to a language course?
Yes, please contact enrollment@vizja.pl.
