From June 10 to 14, 2024, the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw hosted its first International Staff Week entitled “Creating your own brand. Marketing in the academic environment”. The event brought together representatives from universities across various countries, providing them with the opportunity to participate in numerous workshops and networking sessions.

We were pleased to welcome representatives from universities in Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, France, Slovakia and Bulgaria.

The programme included workshops on personal branding and marketing, which were well attended by participants. The event comprised a series of workshops, sessions and discussion panels led by marketing professionals from renowned companies in Poland and internationally. The programme also included a visit to the company Tigers.

UEHS representatives led several workshops, including those delivered by Director of the Marketing and PR Department, Ms Aleksandra Krowicka, Coordinator of the Welcome Office, Ms Victoriia Malysh, and Rector’s Representative for Student Communication, Dr Marcin Domagała. The programme also included a visit to the company Tigers. Participants had the opportunity to gain new knowledge, share experiences and establish valuable professional connections.

The International Staff Week at the UEHS entitled “Creating your own brand. Marketing in the academic environment” was a five-day international training course designed to:

  • provide participants with new skills in modern marketing tools essential for building a personal brand;
  • offer insight into personal branding tools to enable participants to operate uniquely while respecting ethics and CSR;
  • facilitate effective communication with all key target groups;
  • enhance the prestige and positive image of the university.

The event’s organiser, Director of the International Cooperation Office, Ms Ahd Bahar, provided the following comments:

“Our first International Staff Week was a resounding success. I would like to extend my gratitude to the entire team at the International Cooperation Office, as well as Ms Aleksandra Krowicka, Director of Marketing and PR, and Ms Viktoriia Malysh, Coordinator of the Welcome Office, for their instrumental roles in making this event a reality. This success is a result of the collective effort and was met with high praise from participants, who were impressed by our modern infrastructure, good organisational skills and the welcoming atmosphere. The positive feedback we received has been a significant motivator for us to organise another edition in 2025”.

The International Staff Week offered invaluable networking opportunities and a platform for knowledge and experience exchange, with the aim of fostering future collaboration among all participants.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to all those who played a role in organising this event. In particular, we would like to thank the team from the International Cooperation Office, the Director of Marketing and PR, and the Coordinator of the Welcome Office for their professionalism and dedication. We would also like to thank all the participants for their active involvement and enthusiasm, which contributed to the success of this event.
