UEHS Leads Among Private Universities in Poland
The University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw (UEHS) has ranked as the most popular private university in Poland for full-time programs and second for part-time programs. These results are based on the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s rankings for the 2024/2025 academic year.
For yet another year, UEHS has secured top positions in the rankings of the most sought-after universities in Poland. It maintained its leading spot among private universities favored by students enrolling in full-time studies. Additionally, UEHS held its second-place position for popularity in part-time programs.
Top Private Universities
This year’s top three rankings for full-time programs include UEHS, SWPS University (5,825 students), and WSB Academy (4,976 students). UEHS led the ranking with 6,420 students choosing it for full-time studies.
For part-time programs, the leader was WSB Merito University in Poznań, followed by UEHS in second place and WSB Merito University in Wrocław in third. A total of 5,868 students chose UEHS for part-time studies.
IT and Psychology Remain Top Choices
According to data from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, students’ preferences for study programs in the 2024/2025 academic year remain largely unchanged.
Based on the number of applications, the most popular programs nationally are:
- Psychology: nearly 40,000 applicants
- Information Technology: 35,716 applicants
- Medical Studies: 28,685 applicants
This year, psychology overtook IT, which had previously been the leading program. Medical studies also rose in popularity, surpassing management, which ranked third last year. The top five is rounded out by law, with 23,488 applicants.
Most Popular Programs at UEHS
At UEHS, students’ preferences align with national trends. The most popular program remains psychology, followed by management and IT. Other top choices include English philology and finance and accounting.
Growing Interest in Higher Education
The latest rankings from the Ministry show a significant increase in the number of students applying to universities. This year, over 20,000 more candidates were admitted compared to the previous year. These optimistic trends indicate that, despite demographic challenges, Poland remains an attractive destination for higher education.
