State Examination in Polish at VIZJA University
The State Certificate in Polish as a Foreign Language is the only official document certifying the level of language proficiency for non-native speakers of Polish. It is issued permanently and serves as crucial proof of competence when applying for Polish citizenship or seeking employment and university admission in Poland.

TELC Polish Language Certificate B1–B2 Dual
TELC B1–B2 Dual is a certification examination assessing Polish language proficiency at B1 or B2 level. Depending on the result achieved, candidates receive a certificate at the corresponding level.
Recognition of the Certificate
The TELC B2 Polish Language Certificate can be used as a document confirming the Polish language proficiency required for admission to degree programmes taught in Polish, in accordance with the applicable regulations.
A TELC Polish Language Certificate at B1 level or higher is also one of the documents confirming the required knowledge of Polish when applying for an EU long-term resident permit.
What Does the Examination Look Like?
The examination is conducted in person and consists of two parts:
- Written part – includes listening comprehension, reading comprehension, vocabulary and grammar, and writing.
- Oral part – includes a conversation, presentation, and discussion.
The oral part is preceded by a preparation period, and candidates take the oral examination in pairs.
The TELC B1–B2 Dual examination is held at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski University in Kraków.
Results and Certificate
Examination results and certificates are usually available approximately 6 weeks after the examination. Candidates who achieve the required score receive a certificate at B1 or B2 level. If a candidate does not achieve the score required to receive a certificate, they receive a results sheet instead.
