Short description of the lecture: Reality and translation

This lecture aims to explore the concept of translation and the intricate relationship between translation, reality, and culture. It delves into the complexities that arise when translating works from one language to another, and how this process can both reflect and shape our understanding of the real world in different cultures.

It shows on the one hand, how different versions of the source language texts reflect the original language world, and, on the other, how distinct translational choices profoundly impact the meanings and trigger distinct images of the target language reality.
