Are you interested in the hotel, gastronomy and tourism industries? Would you like to gain knowledge that will help you better understand how accommodation facilities, restaurants, gastronomic services, events and tourism businesses operate? Gastronomy and Hotel Industry is a specialisation within the Tourism and Recreation programme. It combines preparation in tourist services, hospitality, gastronomy, as well as management, marketing and service quality.

The variant with an additional foreign language differs from the standard programme variant by offering an extended language module – during your studies, you also take a second foreign language, selected from the language courses offered by VIZJA University. This solution is designed for people who want to be better prepared for work in hotels, restaurants, leisure facilities, conference centres and tourism companies operating in an international environment.

Gastronomy and Hotel Industry with an Additional Foreign Language – what can you do after graduation?

As a graduate of this programme, you can develop your career in the hospitality, gastronomy, tourism, recreation and event industries – both in Poland and abroad.

You may work, among others, in:

  • hotels, guesthouses, sanatoriums, holiday resorts and wedding venues;

The programme includes major courses related, among others, to the functioning of the tourism industry, tourism geography, tourism services marketing, market analysis, law and insurance in tourism, the organisation of tourist events, risk management and modern technologies used in the industry. You will deepen your knowledge of hotel and gastronomic services.

You will learn, among others, the fundamentals of hospitality, health and safety in gastronomy and hospitality, the organisation of business activity in the hotel and gastronomy sector, and service quality management.

Hybrid Flexible Learning (HFL) for the tourism and recreation programme

When choosing the Hybrid Flexible Learning (HFL) mode, please note that some classes throughout the course of study, including practical workshops, must take place onsite with the physical presence of students. The block of onsite classes will be planned and announced well in advance for each year of study.

In the first year, students are introduced to general subjects and the first directional issues in the areas of tourism geography, finance or management – areas that form the foundation for understanding the specific tourism issues explored in the further course of study.
