The programme includes subjects concerned with the understanding and practical use of scientific knowledge related to Cosmetology.

First
year of study

During the first year, most subjects are concerned with the basic sciences related to medicine and clinical sciences. Their objective is to ensure that students acquire the knowledge and basic skills required for all specialists working in the health sector in a broad sense of the word, including cosmetologists. These subjects will constitute the foundation for scientific understanding of the functioning and the biology of the human body. The first-year programme also includes numerous courses dedicated to basic Cosmetology issues.

Second
year of study

The programme for the second year includes subjects centred around specialist knowledge required by all cosmetologists. Starting from the fourth term, students do their work experience (in non-clinical institutions) and initiate work on their own social project, which in this field of study replaces a written BA thesis.

YEAR OF STUDY

In the third year, next to new major subjects, the programme also includes those subjects whose objective is to give students practical knowledge concerning a cosmetologist’s job and running their own business. Students may choose, from a wide range of elective courses, those subjects which will allow them to focus on issues of interest.
