These studies provide advanced knowledge in psychology and prepare you to work in psychological counselling and mental health support.*
*Regulations differ between countries. Whether you can work in counselling or as a psychotherapist depends on local laws, your prior BA studies, or additional training after your BA/MA. Always check the requirements in the country where you intend to practice.

Through the program, you develop practical skills and acquire knowledge that are highly relevant in international and multicultural contexts. You also engage with contemporary research methods, evidence-based practices, and real-world applications, equipping you for further professional development in mental health fields, depending on local regulations.

What can you do after graduation?

Admission rules and regulations

Note: important information for 2025 candidates

Please read carefully the application procedures in line with the changes introduced by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education in 2025.

Important Information for Candidates

  • Does completing this programme allow me to practise as a psychologist in Poland?
Based on the current understanding of the new law, completion of an accredited postgraduate/master’s degree in Psychology – such as ours – together with a recognised BA degree in Psychology, fulfils the university education requirements necessary to apply for access to the regulated profession in Poland.
However, it is important to distinguish between obtaining a psychology degree and being formally authorised to practise as a psychologist in Poland.
To be entered into the official register of psychologists and to legally use the professional title “psychologist” in Poland, candidates must meet additional requirements beyond holding a university degree. These may include, for example, Polish language proficiency requirements, as specified in the new Act on the Profession of Psychologist and the Professional Self-Government of Psychologists: https://orka.sejm.gov.pl/proc10.nsf/ustawy/1344_u.htm
  • What degree will appear on my diploma?
You will receive the degree of Magister in Psychology, with a specialisation in Clinical Psychology.
Magister is the Polish equivalent of a Master’s degree. However, as academic titles are not subject to legal translation, the original Polish term is used on diplomas issued by Polish universities.
The full list of subjects completed during the programme will be included in the diploma supplement.
  • Is the programme accredited by the Polish Accreditation Committee?
Yes. All of our psychology programmes received full accreditation from the Polish Accreditation Committee on 21 March 2025, under resolution no. 153/2025.
  • Does the programme include an internship?
The internship is a non-obligatory component of the programme. Since the programme follows a general academic profile, an internship is not required. Due to the limited availability of internship opportunities in languages other than Polish in Warsaw, students who wish to complete an internship, are encouraged to seek suitable summer internships in their home countries.
  • What is the intensity of the programme?
The programme includes many practical classes, tutorials and workshops, for which attendance is strictly mandatory. Thus, the vast majority of classes are held on site. Few lectures may use distance-learning methods; however, all the examinations are conducted strictly on site.
