Professor Jean-Marc Dewaele Honored with the Distinguished Scholar Award by the International Association for the Psychology of Language Learning (IAPLL) VIZJA

University is proud to announce that Professor Jean-Marc Dewaele has received the Distinguished Scholar Award from the International Association for the Psychology of Language Learning. This prestigious distinction recognizes Professor Dewaele’s exceptional scholarly achievements, longstanding commitment to academic excellence, and pioneering contributions to the field of the psychology of language learning, particularly in the areas of multilingualism, emotions, identity, and individual differences among language learners and language users. His work continues to inspire researchers, educators, and students around the world, influencing both academic inquiry and educational practice.

Professor Dewaele teaches courses within our English Philology programme at VIZJA University, bringing world-class expertise directly into the classroom. He is also an active member of VISION – European Center for Multilingualism in Teacher Education. As part of this collaboration, he recently delivered an inspiring talk entitled “Multilingualism and Language Learning: Challenges and Opportunities.”
