Studies in this specialization cover a wide range of topics, thanks to which you will become a specialist in the field of accounting, financial analysis of companies and tax strategies. 

 

You will also gain extensive knowledge in the field of financial audit, audit and controlling. You will learn how to assess the company’s financial situation, detect problems and help solve them in a professional and effective manner. 

What can you do after graduation?

This specialization prepares you to work in controlling departments, internal audit units, consulting companies, in the public finance sector, centrals, provincial and local government offices, in private enterprises, as well as in consulting companies. Having specialist preparation in the field of audit and controlling, you can easily find employment in positions such as statutory auditor, receiver or tax advisor.

Second year of study

In the second year of studies, you can choose subjects in the field of audit and controlling to gain specialist preparation in this field. In semester III, two out of three subjects should be chosen in the form of lectures and exercises, and two of the three subjects in the form of seminars. In semester IV – three out of four subjects should be chosen in the form of seminars.

Starting from the third semester, students also participate in the diploma seminar, during which they prepare their master’s thesis under the supervision of the supervisor. The diploma examination with the defence of the master’s thesis completes the studies and allows you to obtain the professional title of master’s degree. 

The content of the study program may change as a result of efforts to improve the quality of education and adapt the teaching offer to the current challenges of the labor market. Each change is approved by the University Senate and introduced with the aim of preparing students for their future careers in the best possible way.
