We are pleased to announce that two UEHS scholars Dr. Bożena Iwanowska & Dr. Yan Kapranov were invited to participate in the methodological seminar “The Study of the Holocaust in Romania: Current State and Trends”, which will take place on November 1–5, 2022 in Bucharest (Romania). The seminar is being offered as a part of the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI) international project and is supported by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Programme. The seminar is being organized directly by the Elie Wiesel National Institute for Studying the Holocaust (Romania) and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USA), both part of the global EHRI Consortium.

Dr. Bożena Iwanowska& Dr. Yan Kapranov are going to present the overview of the module “Digitalization of Holocaust Processes: Romania Case” and demonstrate the key options for target groups interested in the Holocaust in Romania, with special aim to the innovative application of mapping method. The main results of this case will be implemented in terms of the UEHS Academic Center for Holocaust and Genocide Research together with the UEHS students.
