A four-semester master's degree program in computer science is an ideal option for those who do not have an engineering degree, but wish to obtain the necessary education and practical skills in a quick way. This is an excellent option for those who want to earn a master's degree in engineering, which opens up many new career prospects in the world of IT. As part of our degree program, students have a real say in exactly what they want to study by being able to choose the courses they want to attend.
Thanks to this program, you will gain professional skills in areas such as IT system design, cyber security, digital signal processing and software quality management. With a complementary module of the so-called engineering courses, you will also gain a full engineering qualification.
Being a graduate in computer science, your choice of profession will be limited only by your own imagination. You will be capable of working as a technical IT project manager, IT team manager, analyst, designer, programmer; designer, programmer and implementation specialist of software and complex information systems or computer networks; administrator of information systems (databases, operating systems, computer networks or application software); manager of software development teams; as well as consultant in the field of IT and cyber security.
The teaching model focuses on IT and telecommunications courses. The program includes in-depth and theory-supported knowledge of programming tools, methods and techniques, practical application of programming frameworks, cyber security and database management, and so on. The four-semester degree program also offers an additional supplementary semester to teach basic engineering skills and competencies. Interdisciplinary topics are also present, including copyright law, marketing or organizational psychology.
The supplementary semester – the so-called engineering semester – is intended only for students who obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree in their previous studies, but do not have an engineering degree. This semester’s classes are designed to equip the student with knowledge and basic skills in the sciences fundamental to IT, such as electronics, basic information systems, or physics. If you do not have an engineering degree, completing this semester will be mandatory for you to successfully complete your studies.

As part of the “engineering” semester, the student has the opportunity to choose two of three courses: Web Application Programming / Programming in .NET and/or Server-side Application Programming.
The number of registered students determines whether a course will be launched.
As part of the first year of study, students pursue subjects that are designed and grouped in a way that allows them to acquire advanced knowledge and practical skills in computer science as quickly as possible. The curriculum focuses almost exclusively on subjects that are essential from a computer scientist’s perspective, reducing other content to the required minimum. Beginning in the second semester, students begin their master’s theses and placements.
