You will be capable of working as a technical IT project manager, IT team manager, analyst, designer, programmer; designer, programmer and implementation specialist of software and complex information systems or computer networks; administrator of information systems (databases, operating systems, computer networks or application software); manager of software development teams; as well as consultant in the field of IT and cyber security.

The teaching model is focused on IT-focused courses. The program includes in-depth and theory-backed knowledge of programming tools, methods and techniques, practical application of programming frameworks, cyber security and database management, and so on. Interdisciplinary subjects, including copyright law, marketing or organizational psychology, are also present. This curriculum will not only make you a well-rounded IT professional, but also enable you to become a leader by using soft skills to optimize professional performance.

First year of study

As part of the first year of study, students pursue subjects that are designed and grouped in a way that allows them to acquire advanced knowledge and practical skills in computer science as quickly as possible. The curriculum focuses almost exclusively on subjects that are essential from a computer scientist’s perspective, reducing other content to the required minimum. Beginning in the second semester, students begin their master’s theses and placements.

As part of the first year of study, the student has the opportunity to choose:
A – one of each of the two courses offered in the following groups:

  • Fundamentals of Marketing or Organizational Psychology
  • Team Communication or Management Skills

B – two of each of the three subjects offered in the following groups:

  • Web Application Development Using Functional Programming Languages / Real-time Processing of Data Streams and/or Usability and User Experience in Information Systems Design
  • Design of Multi-layered Business Applications / Evolutionary Algorithms and/or Automation and Digitization of Business Processes

The number of registered students determines whether a course will be launched. 

Second year of study

During the third semester, students continue their theses and placements. The curriculum is designed to focus on the preparation of a master’s thesis and own IT project.

By choosing to study at UEHS, you can be sure that the tuition fee will not change throughout the duration of your studies. You can pay the tuition fee once for the entire year of study or spread over a semester payment. This allows you to decide how you want to plan your expenses.

Scholarships - easier than you think

While studying at UEHS, you can take advantage of a wide range of financial support from the state budget and European funds, as well as benefit from special discounts with UEHS discount program

You can submit most scholarship applications quickly and easily through your online account.  

Scholarship
The scholarship may be awarded to any student who obtained an average grade not lower than 4.5 in a academic year given.

In the academic year 2020/2021, the University of Economics and Humanities in Warsaw awarded 292 Rector’s Scholarships, ranging from PLN 450 /month to PLN 650 /month, depending on the average or achievements. For outstanding sport, artistic or scientific achievements, the Scholarship Committee awarded scholarships of PLN 450 /month.

Sports scholarships

A sports scholarship may be awarded to a student who excels in sport achievements at least national level. In addition we also encourage our students to take part in additional support programs- eg. the National Academic Representation.

Young sportsmen can count on financial support in the amount of PLN 450 /month.

Special scholarships for disabled people

A scholarship for people with disabilities may be awarded to a student who has a disability certificate, a disability degree certificate, a ZUS certifying physician’s certificate, a disability group certificate or a certificate of permanent or long-term incapacity to work on a farm.

In the 2020/2021 academic year, depending on the degree of disability, 79 scholarships for people with disabilities were awarded, ranging from PLN 800 /month to PLN 1000 /month.

Allowances

The allowance is a form of emergency financial assistance. Any student who found himself temporarily in a difficult life situation resulting from random events beyond the student’s control can apply for it.

The allowance may be granted twice in one academic year, and the allowance is not granted twice for the same random event. Difficult life situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are an exception.

In 2020, we granted 64 allowances for a total of PLN 113,200.50. The allowances, depending on the student’s situation, were paid in the amount of PLN 1,000 to PLN 2,500 at a time.
