Sustainable Fashion Management
Both fashion design and garment production are powerful parts of the contemporary industry. Highly industrialized, intensified, and organized all over the world, they combine all features of present-day design life and work. The clothing industry has a huge impact on our environment, culture, people, and also non-human beings. Since it is related to the above-mentioned issues on a large scale, we feel obliged to implement ethical and ecological goals at our studies as the fashion design education main core.

Dr Magdalena Płonka
Dr Magdalena Płonka, born and living in Poland, an expert in the field of education and fashion design, lecturer and entrepreneur. Social activist in the area of environment protection and animal rights.
The author of the first book in Poland on responsible fashion: Ethics in Fashion – CSR in the Clothing Industry (2013), enlisted as one of the 100 most influential women by PANI magazine. Dr. Płonka is likewise Lions Clubs International scholarship holder and a winner of awards for designers, including the Golden Thread and Silver Loop competitions.
She is the only PhD in CSR in fashion in the country – thesis defended at IADE Creative University in Lisbon under the leadership of Prof. Sandy Black. She is an experienced fashion designer (Master’s degree, the Academy of Fine Arts), as well as a court expert in the specialization of clothes & costume design at the District Court in Warsaw and what is more- member of the advisory group for responsible business directives at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development in 2013-2017.
Moreover, Magdalena Płonka was a panelist at such events as the Oxford debate at the Polin Museum, international VOGUE Business Fashion Environment Summit, Ghent Global Fashion Conference or Portugal Home Week.
Contemporary she is a publicist and a visiting professor at foreign and domestic universities, including the Warsaw MSKPU, of which she is the founder.
Currently, she is preparing another book based on research conducted by an international research group dedicated to innovative solutions for responsible fashion in the EU.
Dr Płonka is fluent in English, Spanish and likewise communicates in German.
