Lecturer at the Academy of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw, prof. AEH Dr. Luis Pentón Herrera was chosen Teacher of the Year 2024 by TESOL – prestigious international organization bringing together thousands of English teachers from around the world.
Luis Javier Pentón Herrera is a professor at the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw, an English teacher and a coordinator of the Graduate TESOL Certificate at George Washington University in the United States. Additionally, he is a Fulbright Specialist and an English language specialist at the US Department of State. From 2018 to 2019 he served as the 38th TESOL President in Maryland and achieved the rank of Sergeant while serving in the United States Marine Corps (USMC).
The TESOL Teacher of the Year Award, presented by National Geographic Learning, was created by TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) and National Geographic Learning to recognize and honor exceptional English language teachers at all levels.
This award is a huge global success, both for the professor and the university.
