In the Energy Studies program of the Ecological Policy specialty, we have included all the issues necessary to understand the processes involved in the functioning of the energy sector. In the course of your education, you will learn, among other things, the characteristics and use of conventional and unconventional energy sources, the principles of energy system administration or the sequence of the energy supply chain – from producers to distributors to consumers. We will also equip you with knowledge of sustainable economic development, energy storage, as well as energy law and security. In specialty subjects, you’ll explore detailed energy issues in the context of environmentally friendly measures. At the Energy Studies bachelor’s degree program, we also offer two other specializations – see: Sustainability and ESG and Critical Infrastructure.

In line with the new requirements for visa applications introduced by Polish consulates around the world, candidates applying for a student visa are now required to submit a document confirming their eligibility to apply for a bachelor’s degree (first-cycle studies), issued by the Polish Education Superintendent Office (in Polish – Kuratorium Oświaty). Previously, this document could be provided after arrival in Poland, but under the new regulations, it must be submitted along with the visa application. The procedure for master’s degree candidates remains unchanged.
While the new requirement may slightly extend the visa process, the UEHS is fully prepared to support bachelor’s degree candidates throughout this period. To ensure there are no disruptions to their education, candidates who cannot arrive in Poland before the start of classes will be able to participate in lectures online via MS Teams.

The Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Studies at UEHS offers an innovative program aimed at providing students with broad, modern knowledge in the field of energy, with elements of necessary engineering. In the course of education, special emphasis is placed on the ability to implement the principles of sustainable economic development, energy storage, as well as energy law and security. In the specialty of Ecological Policy, detailed issues of pro-environmental measures in the energy sector are also discussed.
The first semester includes a block of general subjects that equip the student with the knowledge base necessary to understand directional issues. From the second semester onward, subjects that familiarize the student with the structure and functioning of energy systems are introduced.

In the fifth semester, students expand their knowledge with further directional issues, while in the sixth semester they focus on subjects dedicated to the specialty of Ecological policy. The third year of study is also the time to pass professional internships and to prepare a social project, which in the undergraduate program in Energy Studies at UEHS replaces the obligation to prepare a written undergraduate thesis.

You can submit most scholarship applications quickly and easily through your online account.
In the academic year 2022/2023, the University of Economics and Humanities in Warsaw awarded 350 Rector’s Scholarships, ranging from PLN 525 /month to PLN 1025 /month, depending on the average or achievements. For outstanding sport, artistic or scientific achievements, the Scholarship Committee awarded scholarships of PLN 600 /month.

A sports scholarship may be awarded to a student who excels in sport achievements at least national level. In addition we also encourage our students to take part in additional support programs- eg. the National Academic Representation.
Young sportsmen can count on financial support in the amount of PLN 600 /month.

A scholarship for people with disabilities may be awarded to a student who has a disability certificate, a disability degree certificate, a ZUS certifying physician’s certificate, a disability group certificate or a certificate of permanent or long-term incapacity to work on a farm.
In the 2022/2023 academic year, depending on the degree of disability, 150 scholarships for people with disabilities were awarded, ranging from PLN 1275 /month to PLN 1575 /month.

The allowance is a form of emergency financial assistance. Any student who found himself temporarily in a difficult life situation resulting from random events beyond the student’s control can apply for it.The allowance may be granted twice in one academic year, and the allowance is not granted twice for the same random event. Difficult life situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are an exception.
In 2021, we granted 40 allowances for a total of PLN 197,200. The allowances, depending on the student’s situation, were paid in the amount of PLN 3,000 to PLN 5,000 at a time.
